Buckle-accent biker-inspired boots: get the look for (a lot!) less

by Robin on October 26, 2009

fiorentini-bootMy friend Diane emailed me a few days ago, looking for a budget alternative** for this fantastic Fiorentini biker-inspired boot that set her heart aflutter.  The Fiorentini, pictured here at right, rings up at a breathtaking $525.

I started looking around to see if she could get a similar boot for less, and found a few forever21bootdifferent alternatives that are much, much easier on the pocketbook.

First alternative is this biker-inspired boot from Forever21.  It’s only got two buckles and straps–instead of three, like the Fiorentini boot–but it also comes in at just $36.80, and comes in your choice of black or brown.

Charlotte Russe has a similar two-buckle boot, and theirs is just $34.99 (and their current special is buy one, get one for $15 for any shoe purchase!).

Finally, there’s a veritable bonanza of look-alikes of the Fiorentini boot at ShiekhShoes.com.  Just a cursory search turned up four alternatives, one for $59.97, one for $49.97, another for $49.97, and yet one more for–you guessed it–$49.97.  Note to Diane–that last one probably comes closest to being a genuine look-alike for the Fiorentini boot.

The original boot is pretty fabulous, but these (much!) lower-priced alternatives achieve just about the same look for much, much less.

Finally, don’t forget that Saturday (Halloween!) is the deadline for entering the giveaway for Christian Siriano’s most excellent style guide, Fierce Style.

**Any time you come across a product–clothes, shoes, makeup, jewelry, whatever–and want a budget alternative, send an email to robin@budget-girl.com, and I’ll go on the hunt for you!

Awww, I just saw this! Had I seen it earlier I might’ve gotten one of those instead of the $150 Steve Madden ones. (Though in fairness, the price wasn’t exactly right but they are FAB. U. LOUS. :D )
